It launched October 2025, so for anyone traveling after that, this is your go-to. You need to complete it within 1-3 days before your arrival – not earlier than 72 hours out. Customs Declaration and IMEI Registration Essentials
Now, onto the actual customs declaration, and this is where your phone comes in. IMEI registration for mobile devices is absolutely mandatory. You *must* declare it on the customs form. If you don’t, your phone might not work with local SIM cards after a certain period. Beyond your phone, be aware of other limits. You can bring up to IDR 100,000,000 (100 million rupiah) in foreign cash without declaration; anything over that needs to be declared, and you could face fines if you don’t.
