When a foreign vessel approaches Indonesian waters, advance notification must be submitted to the Harbor Master and port authorities. Our team prepares and submits the pre-arrival documentation including vessel particulars, crew and passenger lists, last port of call declaration, cargo manifest, provisions list, and health declarations. This advance documentation allows us to pre-arrange agency appointments and streamline the clearance process upon arrival.
Upon arrival at Benoa Harbor, the vessel is initially visited by quarantine officials who verify the health status of all persons on board and inspect for any quarantine concerns. Following quarantine clearance, customs officials board the vessel to process the customs declaration, inspect cargo and provisions, and seal any bonded stores (duty-free alcohol, tobacco, etc.). Immigration officers process passport stamps for all crew and passengers, issuing appropriate visa stamps based on nationality and purpose of visit.
The Harbor Master issues the vessel’s port clearance documents, officially recording the vessel’s arrival in Indonesian waters. For vessels planning to cruise Indonesian waters beyond Bali, a Sailing Permit (SPB — Surat Persetujuan Berlayar) must be obtained specifying the approved cruising itinerary. Our team prepares the SPB application detailing your planned route, stops, and timeline, ensuring compliance with Indonesian cabotage regulations and protected marine area restrictions.
